I have just read this post on the blog Ancien-Nouveau. I had not thought of taping the sloper at the sewing line but now I'm enlightened it seems a no-brainer. This is the reason for pattern drafting. To make the designs exactly as you want them.

Here We Go!
Welcome to my blog!
I've read many blogs over the last couple of years, since I had my daughter. I can say I'm a bit intimidated as most blogs I follow are from very clever, talented and articulate ladies who can be quite funny. I don't claim to be any of these things (cue supportive husband rolling his eyes).
So why blog? This is for me. If others get something from it that is great and I hope in the future this will be the case.
Daft drafting and dressmaking will cover my attempts to draft patterns for myself and daughter and make clothes for us. I expect it will cover other things as well.
I am hoping by having a blog I will have a log of what has worked and what hasn't. It may also shame me into being more productive!
I'm looking forward to the journey.
